Catching Up!

Having three little cuties sure takes a lot of my time
away from things I'd like to do on a regular basis. This
blog for example does not get updated as often as I'd like to
but that's okay, time spent with the kiddos is much more valuable.
Girls are so much fun to have. I just love to watch them
come down the hall in their dresses, be mommies to
their babies and host imaginary tea parties. So this night I
thought it would be fun to have a real tea party. They got to
use the real china-under close supervision-and real food
w/ milk. They were on cloud nine. Abi said to me "you
were right Mommy, this IS a very fun night"! Guess
I'm the only one having fun all the other nights.
Caleb is now over 3 months!! He is beginning to smile
and giggle, love it!! And to those that know me the closest
he is trying very hard to be just like his mommy when
she was little. Our Leah is a smart, beautiful,
and fiery little girl. She has lots of personality which is
sometimes hard to parent, but she makes us
laugh with the things she says and the silly stuff she does.
On Superbowl Sunday I found her hanging out
with the boys, Great Grandaddy and Grandad, watching
the game.
Caleb had his game face on at Superbowl Sunday sporting his
"Duck, Duck, Moose" shirt that Auntie Jen
brought home from her trip to Maine while visiting
family. Cousin Annaliese (4 days apart) was there to help
cheer the Steelers to victory, too bad their efforts didn't
pay off.

A few weeks ago we went to a roping with our neighbors
to the local Saddle Club. It was really neat to see
the roping of the steer. The girls liked to watch the steer, roam the
grounds and pet the horses. Ella's Uncle was roping with his horse
Bucky and won first place! Her grandpa has a horse that is
stabled there named Frosty and got to pet him too.
We had so much fun that when Grams came
for a quick visit we took her back. She loved it, we
could have left her there all day! Grams had a good
visit with the kiddos just playing and hanging around the house.
The weather was very nice for her since
she was coming from a frozen snowed in tundra, it gave her
a chance to thaw out.

The following few pics are from what I will call the Abi
collection. She enjoys taking pictures so from time to time we
will let her take a few and below is what she took.

She is also getting into cooking. This night while I
was making the burgers she made a salad all by herself! Minus
the sliced bell peppers of course. She got out the spinach, tomatoes
the pepper and put it all together! And then of course, took
a picture of it. Which, turned out real nice. She also made
an octopus out of a hot dog on pasta with peas and alfredo sauce,
from a cookbook she got from Grammy on V-day.
The girls have also become my little helpers all of a sudden.
Well, mostly Abi, Leah follows along. But I don't say no.
It was Abi that volunteered to wash my crock pot and to
unload and load the dishwasher. She also sweeps and
has begun to make our bed as well as fold and put away laundry.
Several weeks ago we had quite a cold spell here in the valley.
It got so cold that we actually had ice form! So the girls
got their gloves on and picked up and stomped on the
ice that had formed. It was fun watching them
experience "winter".
Abi and Leah are good friends.
They have their moments when they don't want to
play together but for the most part they have lots
of fun together. It will be fun to watch them grow
up together with Caleb.

Caleb, 2 months.
Although he is now past 3 months here are his
two month pictures. An aspiring photographer
friend of mine took these and I think she did a
great job. These are just a few from the collection.
Thanks Roberta!
